Create Coupon and Discount Codes (Text-Based Triggers)

Coupon or discount codes can be used to trigger discounts to add to a user's cart (or even fields, forms, products, or autobilling plans to show or add!).

Create a Place for Codes to be Entered

Go to Settings → Forms → click Edit Form Fields beside the form you'd like the discount code field on → add field → Short Answer → name it → under ADMIN FIELD & FILTER/TRIGGERING OPTIONS turn ON "Add field to filter options on backend" → Save.

Trigger Your Discount to Add Automatically

Head to Settings → Products and create your discount
Hover over your discount and click Trigger → Add product to user's cart and hide from others
In the trigger menu, open up Fields and find your newly created Discount/Coupon Code field
Type in your discount code and click the green + symbol
Click That's it, I'm finished!

Best Practices/Warnings

NOTE: The short answer field CANNOT be on the Checkout form. A form must be submitted to fire the trigger.
If you have a family/group project, the field and discount must be on the child/sub-unit level as discounts apply per child/sub-unit.
We recommend adding this field before the Confirm Selection form so that your users can see the discount apply in their cart.

How to Create an Early Bird Discount

First, create the discount.

Add an expiration date

This will allow the discount to be applied until a specific date.
You can find availability/expiration date in the settings tab of the discount product

Trigger the Discount

Triggers allow you to automate actions in the system. In this case, triggering the discount to add automatically.
If you'd like everyone to have the early bird discount until the expiration date, trigger the discount to add automatically to everyone when their account is created, and ensure the expiration date is in place.

You could also set up an early bird discount based on a discount code.

How to Create a Sibling Discount

First, create the discount

To make it a sibling discount, trigger the discount to add to any children added after the first.

Click Trigger → Add product to user's cart and hide from others → Set Trigger Conditions how to add a sibling discount _ trigger

Select Registration → "Sub unit / child number is from:" enter 2 to 100 (or however many max you'd like the discount applied to → click That's It, I'm Finished

You could also make a special discount for the second child only (2-2), or copy the discount to make it for children after the 2nd (3-100).
