There are 4 options in the Forms module to customize the presentation of your forms in the front end of your system. These include:
- Separator
- Title
- Sub Title
- Free Text Field
Separator
The separator field is used to create a line break between elements placed on a form. It is a purely visual element. It will not appear in any filter/trigger options. We suggest you to use this to create space between between groups of fields and/or widgets. Visual breaks often help reduce registration fatigue.
Title & Sub Title
These fields are used to present a title on a form. It is a purely visual element. It will not appear in any filter/trigger options. It is presented as bold and underlined. We suggest you use this presentation option to explain a section of fields on a form, including any additional information needed to complete the fields on that form.
Free Text Field
The free text field is used to input text on a form to your users. It can be used to present HTML*, stylized text, pictures, tables, and tokenized information. It is a purely visual element. It will not appear in any filter/trigger options. We suggest you use this field for instructions, packing lists, terms & conditions, etc. Remember, you can add tokens to the free text field, so if you have collected a piece of information on a prior form, that personalization can be included in this section, such as family or first name, product ordered, and more. If you know HTML, you can also use the free text field to add images, videos and any other custom HTML code you'd like. You can place a free text field anywhere and use this widget any number of times throughout all of your forms.
