Testing Tips for Your Regpack Project
Thorough testing is a crucial step in preparing your project for launch. Follow the steps below to ensure everything runs smoothly and is ready for your users.
Confirm Development Mode
Navigate to the Project Front (where your audience will experience your project)
You can find the link to the front-end of each project in three places:
Complete steps including payment
We automatically populate test credentials to experience the payment experience as well.
1. Use a Fake Email for Test Accounts
-
Create test accounts using unique fake email addresses.
-
Regpack prevents duplicate accounts by blocking the use of previously registered emails.
2. Test Email Triggers
-
Verify that email triggers are working as expected:
-
Click on the user’s name in User Management.
-
Navigate to the Emails Tab to view the emails sent through the project.
-
3. Check for Flow and Structure
-
Review the registration process for any text or structural updates you’d like to make.
-
Ensure everything flows as smoothly as you intended for a seamless user experience.
4. Test Triggered Fields, Products, and Emails
-
If you have conditional logic in your forms, test it thoroughly:
-
For example, if a yes/no question triggers another field, try selecting both options to confirm the correct behavior.
-
-
Ensure all triggered fields, products, and emails are working as intended.
5. Test Discount Codes
-
Verify that discount codes apply correctly by testing them with various scenarios.
6. Create Multiple Test Users
-
Test the system with multiple user accounts to simulate different use cases.
-
Invite stakeholders to create test users as well to gather diverse feedback.
7. Test Payments
-
We automatically populate credentials so you won't need to enter any actual credit card data.
- All payments in development mode are sent to a test server.
-
Because all payments are sent to a test server any actual credit cards won't be charged as well. Be sure to mark a project "Open" otherwise your audience may need to attempt another payment.
8. Marking Test Users Inactive
-
Before opening your project you should mark test users inactive in your project:
-
Go to User Management.
-
Select all test users and set their status as Test User.
-
Choose “Yes” to mark them inactive and apply changes.
-
Important Note
-
Payments are sent to a test server in development mode! Ensure your project is open before sharing the link with users or embedding it into your website.
By thoroughly testing your project, you can launch with confidence, knowing that your system is ready for real users. If you need further assistance, contact our support team at support@regpacks.com.
