How to Create and Manage Emails in Regpack

Emails are a powerful tool in Regpack to communicate with your users. You can create and customize emails and set them to send automatically based on user or admin actions. Here’s how to create, edit, and manage emails effectively.

Creating an Email

1. Navigate to Email Settings:

   • Go to Settings > Emails.

2. Create a New Email:

   • Click Create New Email.
   • Name your email. (This internal label can differ from the subject line visible to users.)

3. Compose the Email:

   • Write the body of the email.
   • Use tokens to pull user data (e.g., user name, cart details) from their forms. Tokens are highlighted in purple.

4. Customize HTML:

   • Use the rich text editor at the bottom of the email template to format your email.
   • For advanced customization (e.g., adding images), click Source to edit the raw HTML.

5. Preview Your Email:

   • Click View Example to see how the email will appear to a user.
   • Note: You must have at least one user in the system to populate the preview.

6. Save Your Email:

   • Once satisfied, click Save.

Using Tokens in Emails

• What Are Tokens?

  • Tokens dynamically import user-specific information into your email, such as user details, cart contents, or payment information.

• How to Use Tokens:

  • Place your cursor where you want the token to appear in the email.
  • Select the desired token to insert it into the email body.

Setting Up Email Triggers

1. Hover over the email you want to trigger.
2. Click Trigger.
3. Define the user or admin actions that will automatically send the email.

Editing an Email

1. Navigate to Settings > Emails.
2. Click Edit Subject/Body for the email you wish to update.
3. Make your changes.
4. Click Save.

Deleting an Email

1. Go to Settings > Emails.
2. Click Edit Properties next to the email you want to delete.
3. Select Delete Email.

Important: Emails cannot be restored after deletion. Ensure you no longer need the email before proceeding. You can always create a new email or edit an existing one instead.
